Research Laboratory

Our Laboratory is recognized by the Certification Unit of the Polish Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW) in the field of:

  • testing for classification of commercial devices according to ZOBT - 500 A; SKW certificate issued in 2024.
  • attenuation testing for items and shielding; SKW certificate issued in 2020.
     
  • The Research Laboratory of WZŁ No. 1 S.A. offers its services in the following areas:
  • electromagnetic compatibility measurements,
  • attenuation measurements for shielding,
  • testing of resilience of systems and devices against nuclear electromagnetic pulse NEMP;
  • testing of durability and resilience of items against environmental factors, including mechanical stress (shocks and vibrations) and climatic exposure.
     
  • The testing provided by our Laboratory is guaranteed to meet:
  • PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 - General requirements for testing and calibration laboratories;
  • requirements and needs of our Clients;requirements of the Certification Body.
     

The Laboratory is equipped with the following major tools:

  • The anechoic chamber (SAC) allowing to measure:
  • emissions and electromagnetic compatibility of equipment up to 40 GHz (to 18GHz with the measurement distance of 3 or 5 m provided for the silence cylinder of 2.2 m and 2.4 m in diameter and height respectively);
  • EM energy of devices with very low emission levels.

The chamber allows for testing of items up to 1000 kg of total weight. It is equipped with a single-phase and three-phase power-supply for the tested item, water feeding valve, water and combustion drain, and can accommodate various products (e.g. power generators).

Measurement devices (i.a., FSET22 receiver, spectrum analyzers, generators, antenna systems) allowing for creation of a proper set for the testing under various military or civilian standards.

  • Chambers for environmental testing: 1.2 m3 (items up to 100 kg) and 16 m3 (items up to 3000 kg) allowing for testing of resilience against environmental exposure: temperatures in the range of -75 ÷ +180 OC (or -70 ÷ +80 OC for large items), high humidity and condensed deposits (frost, dew).
  • A vibration system for testing of item resilience to mechanical stress (vibrations, shocks).
  • The vibration system can generate vibrations and shocks in three axes for items up to 610 kg, and in two axes for items up to 1700 kg. It can generate sinusoidal or random vibrations up to 100 g in the frequency range up to 3000 Hz, and shocks up to 207 g.
  • A set of gauges to measure attenuation of the shielding, allowing to test cabins/shelters for conformance to NO-06-A201 and NO-06-A501.
  • Two sets for testing of the item resilience to NEMP (Nuclear Electro-Magnetic Pulse) according to NO-06-A103:2005, NO-06-A107:2005/A:2017, NO-06-A200:2012, NO-06-A500:2012 and MIL-STD-461E/RS105.


The laboratory is equipped with two power generators EMP-80K-2-23 and EMP-1000K-2-23, one allocated to small items: 0.45 x 0.45 x 1m, while the second to large items: 9 x 3 x 4m

The above tools and our highly qualified staff allow us to offer measurement and testing services to be provided  both in our laboratory and on the site of our Customers.

The Laboratory also provides consulting services and assistance in development of testing plans/procedures.
