WZŁ No. 1 will deliver components for the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS)
A consortium set up by PGZ and WWR, comprising PGZ S.A. (as the consortium leader), Wojskowe Zakłady Łączności Nr 1 S.A., Huta Stalowa Wola S.A., Jelcz Sp. z o.o., Rosomak S.A., and PIT-RADWAR S.A. executed a framework agreement with the Armaments Agency for delivery of some components for Poland’s Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS).
The above mentioned framework agreement between the Armaments Agency and the PGZ-WWR consortium defines terms and conditions for the planned executive contracts regarding incorporation of some made-in-Poland components into fire modules based on the US HIMARS and Korean Chunmoo systems.
Under the PGZ-WWR consortium, WZŁ No. 1 will be responsible for delivery of some components of communications systems, in particular mobile communications shelters.
This project related to implementation of Polish components in multi-lead rocket launcher modules is the second biggest contract assigned to the Polish defense industry, including WZŁ No. 1, right after NAREW. The project overall cost will exceed PLN 20 billion.
The contracting of these executive contracts is planned to be concluded in the first half of 2023 with first deliveries still in 2023.
