Show of New Technologies at WZŁ No. 1 S.A.
On 22 June 2023, WZŁ No. 1 S.A. organized a Show of New Technologies for Military Communications on the plant’s premises at Zegrze. In particular, the show focused on battlefield transmission systems. WZŁ No. 1 presented innovative solutions and technical capabilities regarding new mobile communications centers, while it continues to provide depot maintenance for the currently used communication shelters, including up-grades with the latest solutions and technologies. Some comprehensive solutions were presented during the show, starting from the wheeled platform (WARAN) through various subsystems, i.a. data management, transmission and IT. Thanks to the modular design of the new communication shelters, these solutions may find application in some projects implemented by WZŁ No. 1 in the near future.
Participants of the show discussed innovative solutions presented by our company and general directions for development of military communications. The agenda included topics related to participation of PGZ Holding in the process of modernization of the Polish Armed Forces in the field of C4ISR. The show included practical demonstration of equipment for military communications manufactured by WZŁ No. 1 S.A., including inter alia., use of 5G technology and drones for communications. In addition, the participants had an opportunity to see modern satellite terminals that enable simultaneous data transmission by satellites in low and geostationary orbits. The presentation also showcased capabilities of our Research Laboratory.
"The solutions presented proved that communications are also subject to a process of evolution. Only the path of continuous development can ensure construction of modern systems that can securely provide commanders at all levels, in real time, with all data necessary to build situational awareness and make quick and accurate operational decisions," stressed Dr. J. Robert Kudelski, Chairman of the Board of WZŁ No. 1 S.A. “As an industry, we are ready to provide such solutions." - he added.
The show was attended by representatives of the Polish MoD: Department of Innovation and Department of Armaments Policy, as well as representatives of the Polish Armed Forces: Management and Command Board P6, Intelligence and Reconnaissance Analysis Board P2, the Cyber Defense Component Command, the Operational Command and the General Command of the Armed Forces.
In addition, we hosted an Ukrainian delegation led by the Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs who visited us together with representatives of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs and Government of Poland.
