Delivery of refurbished Portable-Transportable Satellite Terminals (PPTS)

In December 2024, WZŁ Nr 1 S.A. completed scheduled delivery acceptance procedures for refurbished Portable-Transportable Satellite Terminals (PPTS). The scope of work included introduction of state-of-the-art modem solutions and components for the transmission path. Following refurbishment the terminals, originally made by WZŁ Nr 1, are now fully compatible with other equipment currently in use in the satellite transmission system of the Polish Armed Forces. Modifications made have significantly increased terminals’ capabilities, ease of operation and reliability. A board appointed by the Customer has verified and accepted performance of each refurbished terminal. WZŁ Nr 1 S.A. has also delivered training for soldiers on operation of PPTS after refurbishment.

In 2024, WZŁ Nr 1 delivered 10 refurbished PPTS satellite terminals to the Customer as scheduled for 2024.

The work is carried out on the basis of a contract signed on 01 Aug. 2024 with the 3rd Regional Logistics Base in Kraków concerning Refurbishment of satellite terminals PPTS-1.8 and PPTS-1.8 v.2.

Wojskowe Zakłady Łączności Nr 1 S.A. has been an important provider of satellite bandwidth for nearly 15 years, providing also an ongoing maintenance for all terminals made by our company, both at home and abroad, including the Polish Military Contingents (PKW) in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Kosovo and Lithuania.
