Cooperation of WZŁ No. 1 with the mining sector
As part of preparations for the project "A dedicated radio communication network for mining applications with a system for tracking and monitoring of vital parameters of rescuers", representatives of WZŁ No. 1 paid a working visit to the Institute of Mining KOMAG in Gliwice and to the Central Mine Rescue Station in Bytom. The meeting followed a letter of intent on cooperation between PGZ S.A., WZŁ No 1 S.A., the Institute of Mining KOMAG and the Central Mine Rescue Station that was signed during MSPO 2022 in Kielce. Representatives of WZŁ No. 1 got acquainted with technical and research capabilities of the Institute of Mining KOMAG and the training infrastructure of the Central Mine Rescue Station in Bytom.
Implementation of the project is aimed at increasing the safety of mining crews and rescuers carrying out rescue operations underground. For WZŁ No. 1 cooperation with representatives of the mining sector will be an excellent opportunity to develop and test communications systems operating in extremely difficult conditions.
