Completion of Wisła Support Equipment Program
On February 23, at the headquarters of Wojskowe Zakłady Łączności No. 1 S.A. a meeting was held between representatives of Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD), a Raytheon Technologies business, and WZŁ-1 S.A. Its purpose was to summarize the tasks carried out under the Wisła Support Equipment Program and to discuss the areas of further cooperation.
As part of the Program for the Polish configuration of the Patriot integrated air and missile defense system , WZŁ-1 S.A. carried out works on 3 types of containers:
- Battery Maintenance Center (BMC) – 4 sets.
- Indirect support element (ISE) - 1 set.
- Transporter of small spare parts (SRPT) - 4 sets.
The tasks were successfully completed at the end of 2022. The company delivered nine containers (MEI) to RMD, thus fulfilling the main objective of the contract. "The experience gained will be successfully used in the implementation of subsequent projects and programs, including international ones" - says Dr. Robert Kudelski, President of the Management Board of WZŁ-1 S.A.
It is worth noting that thanks to cooperation with an American company, Wojskowe Zakłady Łączności No. 1 S.A. as one of the few organizations belonging to the Polish Armaments Group, it gained the status of the final integrator of final products, and thus became a certified supplier of RMD. This opens additional opportunities for joint implementation on further projects.
