Award granted to the Project Team by the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) for Mobile Forensic Platform

On 29 September 2023, during the Inauguration Ceremony of the 2023/2024 academic year, the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) awarded the Project Team for their scientific achievement and successful implementation of the project entitled Mobile Forensic Platform for rapid identification at the scene of a mass event: terrorist attack or disaster, a project in the field of security and defense, with representatives of WZŁ No.1 on the Project Team.

It is worth adding that today's award is not the only granted to the project. The Mobile Forensic Platform was also the winner of POLSECURE 2022 and won the third place in competition Innovations for Security and Defense.

The project was implemented from 10 December 2018 to 09 May 2022 by the Project Team, comprising members of the teaching staff from PW’s SIMR, Department of Automobiles and Working Machines (consortium leader) and representatives of consortium partners from WZŁ No. 1 S. A. and HAGMED Sp. z o.o. Sp. kom. while financed by the National Center for Research and Development (NCBR).

The Project Team's main scientific achievement was development of a prototype mobile forensic lab installed in a 20 ft. foldable shelter, consisting of six modules for documentation of the scene, biological examination, fingerprint examination, analysis of collected cell phones, analysis of collected surveillance footage, and reconstruction of the event based on ballistic data.
